Aril (AR) comprised of Oncocyclus and Regelia from Near
East, grow in warm, dry cli mates, sparse beard, most have dark
signal spot below beard with veining and speckling
Arilbred (AB) hybrid crosses of aril with bearded iris,
easier to grow but with Aril features - over 28"
Aril-Med 8" to 28", crosses of aril or arilbreds
with dwarf or medians
Novelty Bearded Irises multiple petal (more than 3
standards and 3 falls), irregular color application (common in
Japanese), variable pattern (Joseph's Coat), flat -shaped (6 falls
with beards), spooned, horned and flounced.
